Worms in Dirt

Worms in Dirt
These are tasty and so easy to make. Preparing these brought me back to my days in Home Ec. in high school. 
 
What you need: 
  • 1 box vanilla pudding, made per directions
  • 1 box chocolate pudding, made per directions
  • 6-8 oreos, mashed up into crumbs. 
  • some gummy worms
What you do: 
  1. Make puddings according to directions. 
  2. Mash up oreos. 
  3. Assemble as picture shows. 
  4. Tada!

Chicken Broccoli Casserole

Chicken Broccoli Casserole 
There are many versions of this recipe out there, here is mine.
What you need: 
  • 2 cups cooked broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 2 cups cooked chicken
  • 8 oz tub of sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups cheese
What you do:
  1. Mix rice and sour cream together. 
  2. Preheat oven to 350. 
  3. Add Cream of Chicken Soup to the mixture. 
  4. Add Broccoli and Chicken to the mixture. 
  5. Add the 2 cups of cheese to the mix. 
  6. Salt and Pepper to taste. 
To Make Breadcrumbs:
  1. Place bread into food processor and "pulse" until crumbs. 
  2. Add 1 tbs melted butter and mix around. 
Assembly: 
Place mixture into 9x9 or 9x13 pan. Make a flat top and put bread crumbs on top.   Bake for 20-30 minutes until heated through and bubbly on the edges.

The Best Pot Roast Ever!
This pot roast is so easy and yummy! It often graces our Sunday table. Made in a CrockPot.

What you need: 
  • 2-5 pound pot roast (any kind)  
  • 1 envelope ranch dressing (dried)
  • 1 envelope Italian dressing
  • 1 envelope brown gravy mix
  • Potatoes and Carrots
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cup water
What you do: 
  1.  If you wanted carrots and potatoes in your CrockPot, cut them to your liking and put in the bottom of your CrockPot. 
  2. Put Roast on top of vegatables. 
  3. Sprinkle all 3 spice envelopes on top. 
  4. Add the water. 
  5. Cook on LOW for 6-10 hours until tender and veggies cooked through.

Herb Roasted Red Potatoes

Herb Roasted Red Potatoes

I made these to eat with our pot roast on Sunday. They are way good!


What you need: 
  • 8-9 Red Potatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • Dried Rosemary
  • Dried Thyme
  • Salt and Pepper  
What you will do:  
  1. Wash and cut potatoes into 1 inch pieces
  2. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  3. Place potatoes in a bowl and coat lightly in olive oil.
  4. Place 1 tbs dried rosemary and 1 tsp of thyme in bowl.
  5. Mix around 
  6. Place potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer, not allowing for much overlap. 
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, flip and bake another 20 minutes. The edges should be brown like in the picture.
